Lust auf Kreativität.
Geboren im Januar 1966 in Essen.
Nach dem Abitur 1985 Studium der Sozialpädagogik an der Fachhochschule Düsseldorf und mehrjährige Tätigkeit im öffentlichen Dienst beim Jugendamt der Stadt Hilden.
1996 begann ich ein Praktikum auf Mallorca und lebte und arbeitete in den folgenden 25 Jahren dort.
Obwohl ich mich entschieden hatte, beruflich eine andere Richtung einzuschlagen, war ich immer auf der Suche nach Möglichkeiten, kreativ zu sein und konkretisierte diese Suche, indem ich im Jahr 2000 privaten Zeichenunterricht bei dem Künstler Stefan Beltzig begann. Der Schwerpunkt lag dabei auf den Grundlagen des perspektivischen Zeichnens und der menschlichen Figur.
Auf dieser Basis arbeitete ich als Autodidaktin weiter, um mit Unterstützung verschiedener Kurse und Workshops Ideen und Eindrücke zu skizzieren und neue Bilder zu schaffen.
Die wichtigsten Kurse fanden zwischen 2004 und 2007 an der Europäischen Kunstakademie in Trier statt.
Im Jahr 2009 begann ich mit Einzel- und Gemeinschaftsausstellungen auf Mallorca/ Spanien und in Deutschland.
Seit 2007 arbeite ich im Gemeinschaftsatelier Quart Creixent in Palma.
Seit einiger Zeit widme ich mich ausschließlich der Aquarellmalerei, während ich früher hauptsächlich mit Acrylfarben gearbeitet habe. Die ersten Ergebnisse waren manchmal zufällig, aber die Faszination blieb, und so vertiefte ich mich weiter in diese Technik und besuchte verschiedene Workshops.
Bei meinen Bildern geht es mir nicht um eine exakte Wiedergabe dessen, was ich sehe, sondern vielmehr darum, Farbe und Form zu verwenden, um die Gegenständlichkeit auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren, wobei die Farbe oft von ihrer allgemein assoziierten Bedeutung gelöst wird.
Das Wechselspiel zwischen Figuration und Abstraktion ist für mich von großem Interesse.
Die Idee für ein Bild ist meist schon in meinem Kopf und muss zu Papier gebracht werden, je konkreter sie ist, desto eher entsteht das Bild, natürlich kann in der praktischen Umsetzung manchmal ein ganz anderes Bild entstehen als zunächst gedacht.

After graduating from high school in 1985, studied social pedagogy at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences and worked for several years in the public sector at the youth welfare office of the city of Hilden.
In 1996 I started an internship in Mallorca and lived and worked there for the following 25 years.
Although I had decided to go in a different direction professionally, I was always looking for opportunities to be creative and I found what I was looking for when I began private drawing lessons with the artist Stefan Beltzig in 2000. The focus of his classes was on the basics of perspective drawing and human figures.
I continued to work as an autodidact with the support of various courses and workshops to sketch ideas and impressions in order to create new pictures.
The most important courses took place between 2004 and 2007 at the European Art Academy in Trier.
In 2009 I started with solo and collective exhibitions in Mallorca/ Spain and in Germany.
Since 2007 I have been working in the collective studio Quart Creixent in Palma.
For some time now I have dedicated myself exclusively to watercolour painting, whereas I used to work mainly with acrylic paint. The first results were sometimes accidental, but the fascination remained and so I continued to immerse myself in this technique and attended various workshops.
In my paintings, I am not interested in an exact reproduction of what I see, but rather in using colour and form to reduce representationalism to a minimum, whereby colour is often detached from its generally associated meaning.
The interplay between figuration and abstraction is of great interest to me. The following picture shows a similar scene in stronger and brighter colours.
The time it takes to create watercolours can vary greatly, and size plays a role, albeit sometimes a subordinate one. The idea for a picture is usually already in my head and has to be put down on paper, the more concrete the idea is the sooner the picture is created, of course sometimes a completely different picture can emerge on the canvas to the one that was in my imagination.
